Rajavi has recently been trying to calm the members by diverting their attention with a series of messages and propaganda tapes. The messages clearly forbid any questioning in any field by any member. Alongside this, members are now forced to do hard physical labour including agriculture, production and services for unlimited hours. This is believed to be affecting the mental judgment of the members as the creation of exhausting fatigue renders them unable to think about their problems and questions.

The MEK is a radical feminist organization. Their leader believes that women should occupy all the leadership positions in the resistance. This is reflected in the current make-up of the organization. The entire leadership council of the MEK is comprised entirely of women. Even though only 30% of the military resistance are women, women hold over two-thirds of the commander positions and command many all-male units.

Fereidoun Shakouri endured torture for several months following his objection against the cult. He then was kidnapped by an MKO team across Azhadi Building while his body was found in Bab Al-Sharji district with his vessels torn and a fatal blow to the head.
